I don't know what to feel. I'm ashamed of giving up on the season so early on. But, the Bengals look horrible. Take out the playoff run of two years ago and all Marvin's done is improve us from a team who was laughably bad and missed the playoffs to one that's the butt of jokes about not being able to stay out of prison and still misses the playoffs. We have one of the best quarterbacks in the league yet we still can't win football games. I'm just about done with Marvin.
I can't believe that five games into the season I'm thinking about throwing in the towel on the 2007 season. I'm sick of waiting for next year (year after year after year). I want to make the playoffs this year.
If I believed a football team could be cursed, I'd swear this team is cursed. Injuries, calls by the referees- both seem to go against us time after time. How many super-talented players do we have sitting out right now? It's amazing.
So, that's what I would have said had I chosen to say more. But, I won't. I'll be there next week watching and hoping we can at least beat the lowly Jets and get started on a winning streak of say, two games. Is that too much to ask?

Yes say more. Vent, wear sack cloth and ashes. It's official. The old team of play-off days is dead. The ghost of seasons past is back to haunt us.
