I'm a pretty strange guy myself. He's a Democrat, political science professor, writer of college texts, New York Jew. I'm Republican, lifelong southern Catholic. He came in costume as Richard Nixon. Gotta love it. I love friendships that can transcend all those externals and get to the heart.
